I was told the best way to love your wife is to help her obey Christ.  As Jesus helped us to obey God in his 3 year ministry.  How did he do it? He taught us about God, He served us, He healed us…. His fault? or is it Her fault? It doesn’t matter, that’s not the main theme of the story.  The main theme is pain in loneliness.  I wanted Vinh’s problem to really cut or sting.  So him imagining himself in a deserted area was to develop his character.  Seeing himself deserted bothers him so much that it’s an ongoing problem. It’s reoccuring multiple times, and those times are just tough to deal with.</p> <p>What happens at the end of the story when Vinh was about to open the door? Its up to the audience to decide.  Can he still be haunted by his loneliness? or is his girlfriend  on the otherside of the door? Or can it still be Vinh invisioning himself in his head opening the door? its open ended.  I can tell you this, I do feel one day Vinh will find comfort in some level of the story; Comfort through time, excepting being alone, or reuniting with his girlfriend or all examples of him coping with the issue. When you watch the video of the “behind the scenes” you will see that I added smoke, debris, and a cracked floor.
